Fire Safety & Smoking Reminders 🚭🔥
To help maintain a clean and safe living environment, smoking and vaping are not permitted anywhere on the property. This includes inside the home, garages, porches, decks, stoops, and the surrounding yard areas. Please remember this policy also applies to guests visiting the property.
Evidence of smoking on the property may be considered a lease violation and can result in cleaning fees, fines, or additional action if necessary. Smoke damage is difficult and costly to remove, so we appreciate everyone’s help in keeping homes smoke-free.
Smoke Detector Reminder 🔋
Smoke detectors are an important safety feature in every home. Tenants are responsible for testing smoke detectors regularly and replacing batteries when needed.
We recommend checking your detectors at least once a month to ensure they are functioning properly. If a smoke detector is not working correctly, please notify our office promptly so it can be addressed.
Fire Pits, Grills & Open Flames 🔥
Fire pits, chimineas, burn barrels, outdoor fireplaces, and similar open-flame devices are not permitted without prior written approval from our office.
If approval is granted, tenants must follow all safety requirements and ensure any device is never left unattended and is fully extinguished after use. These rules help reduce the risk of fire damage and protect surrounding homes and landscaping.
Standard propane or charcoal grills used for cooking are generally permitted, but they should always be used safely and positioned away from structures or flammable materials.
Fireworks & Local Regulations 🎆
Fireworks are a fun part of summer celebrations, but rules can vary depending on your city, county, HOA, or neighborhood regulations. South Carolina does allow consumer fireworks; however, many local communities restrict their use in residential neighborhoods or near buildings.
Before setting off fireworks, please check your local ordinances and HOA rules to ensure they are permitted where you live. Safety should always come first, and we encourage residents to attend local public fireworks displays whenever possible.
