Can you hear me? Hey, everyone. This is Brittany with Marchant Property Management with Talk About It Thursday. Today, I'm going to be answering three frequently asked questions that we receive from people when they are looking for someone to manage their rental home. The first question is what type of properties do we manage? We only manage residential properties, but that does include single family homes, condos, town homes, duplexes, triplexes, and some smaller apartment complexes. We do not manage any homeowners; associations or commercial property.

The second question is how soon can we start managing your property? We typically list properties the same day that we receive the signed management agreement from you and the keys to the home. Third question for today is what do you need to do in order to make your home rent ready? Typically, you need to make sure that all the holes are patched in the walls and the painting is touched up on the wall, ceilings, and trim. You would need to have the carpets professionally cleaned and the home professionally cleaned. Lastly, you want to make sure that your yard is up to par before the tenant can move in.
