How we handle late rent payments
Hi, this is Brittany with Marchant Property Management.
Today, I’ll walk you through how we handle late rent.
Rent is due on the 1st of each month, with a grace period through the 5th. If rent is not received by then, a late fee is applied on the 6th.
The late fee is 10% of your monthly rent.
It’s important to ensure that your rent and any associated fees are paid in full by the 11th of the month, as this is when eviction filings may begin.
To recap the key dates:
Rent is due on the 1st
Late fees apply on the 6th
Eviction filings may begin on the 11th
From the owner’s perspective, you’ll receive daily updates if your tenant has not yet paid rent, so you’re always informed.
If you have any questions or would like an update on a specific situation, you’re always welcome to reach out to me or your property manager. We’re happy to keep you informed on tenant communication and payment timelines.
That’s a quick overview of how late rent and late fees are handled.
If you have any questions, feel free to reach out—we’re always happy to help.
Have a great day!
