Frequently Asked Owner Questions - Property Management

Hi everyone. Brittany here with Marchant Property Management for Talk About It Thursday. Today I'm going to be answering three frequently asked questions that we often receive from clients when they're looking to rent out their home. The first question today: Is our company licensed? And yes, all owners of the company hold a broker's license, and any property managers either have a property management or a real estate license. The second question for today is: Who holds the security deposit? We, Marchant Property Management, holds the security deposit in an escrow account, and that's what's used once the tenant fulfills their lease and moves out to pay any of the damages or cleaning or carpet cleaning charges. And last question for today is: You as an owner, can your name, address or phone number be given out to a tenant? And the answer is no. We do not give that information out to the tenant, and any communication that needs to be between all parties, we will do that communication for you and coordinate that.
